Caring for your Jewellery while abroad

Here are our top travel tips for caring for your jewellery while abroad:

1. Leave the sparkle at home (sometimes!)
As tempting as it is to wear your favourite pieces everywhere, avoid wearing
fine jewellery to the beach or pool. Sand, saltwater, and chlorine can dull your
diamonds and damage metals.

2. Store smart
Travelling with your diamonds? Always keep them in a soft, separate travel
pouch or a lined jewellery box to avoid scratches and tangles. Need a travel

3. Take it off when applying sunscreen & perfume
Chemicals in sunscreen, perfume, and hairspray can build up on your
diamonds, dulling their sparkle. Apply first, let it dry, then put your jewellery
on.

4. Insure before you fly
If you’re bringing something special, make sure your jewellery is covered by
travel insurance. It’s peace of mind worth having.

5. Wipe it down
Gently wipe your jewellery with a soft cloth at the end of each day to remove
oils, sweat, and residue — it keeps your sparkle intact until you’re back home.

6. When in doubt, book a post-holiday clean
